I am excited to announce that Macaroni Kid Chandler has added AR Workshop to our list of clients. AR Workshop is a boutique DIY studio that offers hands-on classes for creating custom and charming home décor from raw materials. The Chandler AR Workshop, is located at 4040 W Ray Rd, D-7.
When I went in for my first meeting at AR Workshop, I immediately fell in love with not only the workshop, but the owners Mary and Bob. The workshop is so fun, with amazing signs and décor all over the walls, and Mary and Bob are the nicest couple you could ever meet, they make you feel like you're part of the family. I was invited to bring the kids in for a Halloween canvas bag making class, I was a bit hesitant though, as I was worried the twins were too young, the thought of dragging 3 kids into a class involving paint, all by myself, seemed a bit daunting, but we had an amazing time. I would say the workshop is geared for ages 10 and up, but those 6 and older can manage with direct assistance from an adult.
We arrived for our class on a Saturday afternoon, and Mary was ready and waiting for us. She is such a trooper, not only did she explain things so the kids could easily understand, but she jumped right in and helped out. They had an amazing time, and can't stop talking about how much they love Mary. They are so excited to get to use their new personalized canvas tote bags for Trick or Treating, and there is still time for you to get in there to make your own.
After we had our canvas tote making class, I scheduled a class for the girls and I to do a mom's night out. We decided to make the framed wood signs, and it was an amazing evening. We went out for dinner first, but you can take food and beverages in with you, including alcohol. We arrived and everything was ready for us, and Mary and Bob were both there to pitch in when needed. What a fun evening, making awesome personalized décor for our homes. It was so relaxing to kick back, enjoy a few drinks, and paint our signs and play with the power tools! The best part is you can get as detailed as you want, or keep it simple, anyone can feel talented and creative. Our class took 3 hours, and the time flew by, we kept talking about what project we are making next.
AR Workshop has so many options, and is perfect for birthday parties, girl's nights out, date nights, team building events, and even some relaxing solo time. It is such a creative and fun place, everyone will have a great time. I would say it is geared to those 10 years old and older, but kids between 6 and 10 would be fine, with direct adult supervision. It would also be a great place to make a gift for those hard to shop for people on your Christmas list.
