As live entertainment returns with a vengeance, the Zoppé Family continues to make history here in Arizona, celebrating their 15th year of performing in Arizona. After re-inventing their circus last year for 2020 with drive-in shows, the uniquely intimate Italian Circus is back and better than ever under the Big Top with this year’s show theme, aptly titled, 'La Vita Nuova' or The New Life. A message of both survival and hope for the future of the circus.
“Our family has survived multiple wars and two pandemics,” says the charismatic circus director, Nino the clown and a sixth-generation descendant. “This season, La Vita Nuova, is dedicated to all performance artists whose careers were put on hold during the pandemic. A new normal in a new world.”
Presented in an intimate 500-seat tent, this one-ring circus celebrates the tradition of old-world Italian circus arts, including acrobatic feats, equestrian showmanship, canine capers, clowning and expert jugglers.
Zoppé Italian Family Circus takes place at Rawhide through December 18th and in Tempe at Big Surf from December 23, 2021 - January 2, 2022 with both matinee and evening shows in its “authentic one-ring circus tent. GA tickets are just $30 and VIP tickets are $60 with premium ring-side seating and cushioned chairs with backs. Show length is approximately 2 hours long. *Zoppé has teamed up with the American Cancer Society and the December 23 performance will be a full PINK SHOW as the audience is decked out in a variety of pink apparel. A portion of the Tempe show is dedicated to the American Cancer Society.
